The Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) Task Force against Trafficking in Human Beings (TF-THB) works to counteract all forms of trafficking in human beings in the Baltic Sea Region through preventive and protective activities. It is composed of experts from relevant Government ministries in all of the 11 CBSS capitals. The CBSS Secretariat is based in Stockholm.
The National Centre for Knowledge on Men’s Violence against Women (NCK) is a knowledge and resource centre based at Uppsala University, Sweden. NCK was commissioned by the government to increase knowledge of men’s violence against women in Sweden and to develop methods for the treatment and care of women subjected to violence.

Kvinnofridslinjen is a national telephone support line for women who have been subjected to threats and violence. It was commissioned by the government and is run by the National Centre for Knowledge on Men’s Violence against Women (NCK) clinical unit at Uppsala University Hospital

The County Administrative Board is a government body responsible for overseeing that the national goals, laid down by the Swedish parliament and government, are realized in the County of Stockholm. The government has assigned the County Administrative Board coordinate activities to combat prostitution and trafficking for sexual purposes.

National Support Operations against Prostitution and Human Trafficking (NMT) works with the:

• National Police
• National Criminal Investigation Department (NCID)
• Special units from the Regional Police
• Special units from the Social Services
• Prosecution
• Migration Board

The team is a strategic resource, mainly for the regions which have not yet been working to counteract prostitution and human trafficking.
